The 12th International Conference of European Federation of Therapeutic Communities (EFTC), organised by Brijder Verslavingszorg - component of the Parnassia Bavo Group - and Verslavingszorg Noord Nederland (VNN) is starting within two weeks. We are proud as host country to organise this EFTC event, which enlightens you about addiction care, drug policy, innovation, research, new developments and TC's in prison and rehabilitation.

Would you like to enrich your knowledge on addiction with visitors from more than 26 countries, and obtain new insights by attending plenary sessions, workshops, movies and debates in order to endorse European cooperation in the field of drug treatment, prevention and research? This is a chance of you can not let go. This event just takes place once in twenty years!
The program (Program and abstracts eftc 2009)
The program offers a large platform for brand new opinions and insights. Some of the themes are: evidence based practice or practice based evidence, the growth and role of spirituality in addiction treatment, judiciary addiction care, therapeutic communities, organization en innovation, population mobility, treatments of addicted children and addicted parents.
The main conference themes are:

C. Judiciary Addiction Care
D. Special Populations and New Challenges in Treatment and Prevention
E. Spirituality in addiction treatments
Moreover excursions are organised to several therapeutic communities in Groningen and Gent (Belgium) or to a large variety of Brijder treatment centers in The Hague.
