Conference history
Since 1982, the European Federation of Thereapeutic Communities has gathered to share experiences debate issues and offer fraternal support. Conferences are generally hosted by a therapeutic community or, in some cases, a collective of therapeutic communities. The following list covers the major conferences and symposia since the innaugural conference in Sweden in 1982. In addition, the EFTC organised (in conjunction with EWODOR) a series of training symposia for TC staff called the Modena Institutes. These institutes were held in 1996, 1998 and 1999.
